Welcome, Riverwood Elementary!
I am so excited to be joining your kiddos on Friday, October 28th for a virtual author visit! It's going to be SO much fun. A little about me: I'm a Texas native who moved to Oklahoma for college, and I never left. I graduated from SWOSU and now live in Choctaw with my husband, two children, and our small indoor petting zoo. I formerly lived in Yukon, but please don't hold that against me! ;) Reading and writing are among my many passions, and my goal is to encourage children to become life-long readers.

- The Toot Fairy is a humorous take on something we all do: Toot! One of the easiest ways to get a child interested in reading is to introduce them to fun books that make them laugh. I know your child will come home telling you some of the jokes, and I hope this book will encourage them to love reading. This is my most popular book and has been read by thousands of children across the world. Thanks to a popular story time channel on YouTube, it once went viral!
- The second is How the Zebras Lost Their Colors: Making the World a More Beautiful Place. In this book, zebras were the only colorful creatures in a world blanketed in black and white. This rhyming picture book describes how Zoe the zebra shares her colors with others. Soon, other zebras decide they want to make the world a more beautiful place and share their colors as well. We'll talk about how we can all make the world a more beautiful place, one act of kindness at a time.
- While I won't get to read it to my friends, I will be sharing a little bit about A Splash of Sass: Sassafras Gets a Puppy. This is a wholesome chapter book with a main character who is a little sassy but is a whole lot of sweet. Your child will be cheering Sass on as she attempts to get over all the hurdles of dog ownership. If your child enjoys Beverly Cleary books, they will love Sassafras!

My picture books are available in hardcover and are $15. Sassafras, the chapter book, is offered as both a paperback ($10) and hardcover ($15). All books will be hand signed by me!

- Cash orders: Complete the paper order form provided to you by the school. Return cash and the order form in a sealed envelope to your child's teacher. Please provide exact change. No checks or money orders, please. Books will be delivered to the school in mid-November.
- Online orders: You can pay by card and order from www.janetradams.com/mustang. Please order only from this special Mustang page to ensure I capture all necessary information about your child(ren), his/her classroom teacher, etc. This will help me sort the books properly for the school and ensures you get the appropriate pricing! Books will be delivered to the school in mid-November, not shipped.
